aesthetic dialogue (2010)

Abstract drawings. Ink on paper.
Focusing on the compositional value of negative space.

Without defined depth, weight or volume, the parts of the paper left untouched become the "negative space" (the space around and between the subject). A line or a brush stroke marks the beginning of an ongoing dialogue between artist and paper. The resulting organic shapes and colors emerge and evolve with each intervention from the artist's hand. Ink and paper become the medium for stories to unravel in a metaphysical plane.
