An allegoric sculpture, invitation to understand and question the established relationship between humans and whales. An organic abstraction of a skeleton - part whale carcass, part human ribcage, part whaling boat frame - breaking and dividing space in lifeless suspension, metaphorically "hanging over our heads" in San Francisco, a Victorian city representative of a culture and an economy that was largely supported by the whaling industry, ultimately bound for extinction.
